About
About
I am a lifelong Thunder Bay resident, community volunteer and fundraiser who has called Westfort home since I was 8 years old.
I attended Lakehead University, graduating with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History. My interest in public service led me to work for MPP Michael Gravelle, where I helped hundreds of constituents navigate provincial programs and services while working with community organizations, businesses and individuals across the region.
After my foray into public service, I worked as a Communications and Administration Coordinator at Thunder Bay's Bombardier manufacturing facility, where I saw first-hand the importance of a strong local industrial base and government investment in transportation and manufacturing. During a period of significant layoffs at the plant, I helped coordinate the Bombardier Labour Action Centre, supporting employees as they transitioned to new careers.
I currently work at George Jeffrey Children's Foundation as a fundraiser helping support children and families in our community.
Community service has always been an important part of my life. I have previously served on 3 City Committees, chairing two of them. As a long-tine Fort William Rotairan, I have helped support numerous local organizations and charities. I have also volunteered with Shelter House and the Regional Food Distribution Association.
Through my professional and volunteer experiences, I have seen both the challenges facing our community and the difference that can be made when people work together. I truly believe Westfort deserves a councillor who will be accessible, collaborative and will advocate for you.
